I am sure this doesn't confuse that many people, but it sure baffled me. I have used this product forever and wished that I could easily toggle the direction of the translate. It never dawned on me to click that chevron until just the other day. I was overjoyed that it worked but annoyed it took so long to discover.

I know you don't want to go button happy on the UI, but that is screaming for more of an actionable affordance.
